The latest & greatest trend in the beauty game – BROW LAMINATION. Yes, of course I had to try it because quite frankly I try almost every new beauty trend that isn’t permanent. I was the first of my friends to do eyelash extensions, dip nails, hair extensions, you get the picture. SO… I of course tried brow lamination and I’m here to report my experience!
You know all those pictures you see of people RIGHT after they get their brows laminated and they look so perfect, fluffy and full!? Yes, they do look like that right after and for the next day (you can’t shower/get them wet for 24 hour after application). They definitely don’t stay that way.
**Please note that this was my experience and it could very well be different for other people.**
So my eyebrows were definitely more “flexible” which is what the perm treatment does to them but they didn’t stay up on they’re own, which is what I was lead to believe/wanted. The mid section of my eyebrows grown down and I was hoping this would fix that problem, negative. I still had to use a brow gel to keep them in place and by the end of the day they still weren’t as full and fluffy as I would have hoped.
So would I get them done again? Probably not, at least not professionally. I spent $100 on it and don’t think it’s worth it. I like my natural brows and don’t mind filling them in so this isn’t a huge problem for me regardless. I saw a video on insta that you can do brow lamination on your own using the same treatment as a lash lift kit sold on Amazon. So I will probably try and do them on my own after the 8 weeks are over, which is when the lamination fades. I’ll keep you updated on that!
So there it is. The cold ugly truth of brow lamination. Let me know in the comments if you had a different experience!
