I’M A FREE WOMAN! I made it through my two week quarantine in Korea and am ready to be a normal person again lol. To be honest, it truly wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be but I would say one week in on Sunday, day 7, when I knew I had ANOTHER week in the Q was probably my “breaking point” & hardest day within the 14 days. I am thankful for being a routine person because I really feel that it helped make the days go by without too much boredom. We (me & my Q friend) kept the days feeling normal by waking up at a decent hour, having coffee, working out, listening to a podcast, working on my blog, watching the Crown, etc! One of the best ways I have been able to feel “in touch” with the outside world and my world back home was by listening to podcasts on the daily! So I am sharing my favorite podcasts that made me feel at home, connected & made me laugh – when I wanted to cry about being cooped up in an apartment in a foreign country for 14 days – wild!

The Morning Toast – Guuuuddd Morning Millennials! If you listen to this podcast you know that this is how you’ll be greeted every morning. This is probably one of my favorite podcasts that I listen to every Monday – Friday. Claudia & Jackie are sisters capturing the news of everyday pop culture stories but that’s not completely why I listen, it’s the sister dynamic & inside jokes that make me feel like I’m hanging with my girlfriends while listening in. One of my favs!
The Lady Gang – Love the Ladygang and their down to earth, REAL AF conversations. I feel like between the three personalities of Becca, Keltie & Jack you’re bound to relate to one of them and laugh alongside their hysterical conversations. Similar to The Morning Toast, I feel like I am hanging with the girls and connect with them through their podcasts and real life conversations about everyday topics such as embarrassing stories, pop culture events, good books, fights with friends & more!
The Skinny Confidential – The OG of OG’s. The Skinny Confidential was one of the first blogs that I ever started reading back when I was in college and I’ve been a ride or die fan ever since! Now her and her husband have the TSC Him + Her podcast and it is it! I love the educational interviews about all topics in life from skincare gurus to life coaches, they cover it ALL. And this is a podcast that I can get my husband to listen to with me in the car and he enjoys it as well!
Absolutely Not – If you’re having a bad day and looking for a laugh this is the podcast for you. I literally have been in tears laughing over the things that Heather McMahan says! She is a comedian who is in the works of creating a TV show about her own life and I promise you won’t regret listening to her podcast – it’s pure entertainment. I put it on when I just need a good laugh or something to distract me from having a bad day and it is the perfect cure!
The Blonde Files – Another great educational podcast about all facets of life! Arielle is a great interviewer when it comes to asking the hard hitting questions and getting answers to all things health, wellness, exercise & more. She opens up on the podcast about her sobriety and struggle with addiction in her earlier years and I find it so interesting to see how she has overcome those obstacles and really persevered to create a new life for herself.
Life with Marianna – Last but not least, Life with Marianna is a more recent listen to my podcast line up. I enjoy her entrepreneurial spirit and hearing how she and her co-founder built Summer Fridays from the ground up. I am very interested in hearing other women in businesses stories and enjoy the majority of the people she interviews. A lot of them share their stories on how they started their brand/companies from the ground up as well!
Happy Listening! Xx, Courtney
