Pregnancy Skincare Routine

Let’s chat pregnancy skincare! This was an interesting thing to navigate for me because I really didn’t know where to start when I first found out I was pregnant. In the first week after finding out I had a total meltdown because I didn’t know I was supposed to stop using certain products and pretty much FREAKED out & told my husband I was already a bad mom – LOL. Pregnancy hormones much!? Soon after I was able to do some more research on which products to stop using like AHA/BHAs over 2% & retinol (ugh, so sad). I went to a very basic version of my skincare routine and have modified over the last 5 months of pregnancy based on my needs.

Overall the melasama I had from birth control hasn’t flared (THANK YOU LORD) but I have definitely had a steady flow of zits popping up every day/week. They aren’t bad, but they’re there… ya know? Just like a new little zit everyday popping up to say hi! So sweet of them (eye roll). I was originally not using any products with salicylic/glycolic acid but recently found out it was okay to use if the ingredient was under 2% and under 10% for glycolic acid (double check with your doctor!). Enter the Cocokind Probiotic Acne Serum – what a game changer! I have been using this product for the past week and it has helped so much with keeping my pimples at bay! If you’re struggling with pregnancy acne this is a great product to help & only $17.99! Another MUST HAVE product when it comes to pregnancy acne are the Hero Mighty Patches. They are another huge help with zits and acne, I pretty much put one on every night to keep a zit from growing – only $10 for a pack of 24 patches!

All in All, I can’t complain too much about my skin, my biggest gripe is the daily new zits & the DRY as the Sahara desert skin! But I’ve always had dry skin so that is expected. Drinking lots of water and moisturizing everyday – no questions asked. See below for my in order AM & PM Pregnancy Skincare routine with all links below!

Xx, Courtney
