What’s on my Baby Registry

Can’t believe it’s actually time to share the items that I am registering for with my baby shower coming up in March! I decided to go with Babylist.com as my registry of choice because of the flexibility of getting to add items from pretty much any retailer! So nice to not have to be restricted to one retailer/store and get to also purchase from the retailer that is selling it at the lowest price (they show the different places the item is sold & price on your registry – amazing!)

With that, I started my baby registry in December and kept it on private while I added items people were suggesting to me, did my research on which things/brands I wanted, etc! It’s nice that they have a “private” setting that allows you to work on the registry before it goes “public” so that you can kind of use it as a place to put all the baby things people suggest you get before you narrow it down – I really loved this feature! Not to mention, Babylist has so many helpful articles on what to register for, articles comparing brands of different strollers, car seats, etc! I’m a big researcher and loved using those articles to help me narrow down on the big ticket items like strollers, car seats, baby monitor, etc! This post is by no means sponsored by Babylist – just love this registry option that much and would highly recommend it to any preggo mommas to be!

It was helpful to not ask too many people their opinions on what to register for so that I didn’t get overwhelmed with opinions. I stuck to a key few close friends/family and then did my own research based on how we are going to go about sleep training, feeding, etc. When it comes to creating a baby registry it really depends on your lifestyle and how you see yourself using these items. For me, we travel a lot so I wanted items for that & ones I could take with me during baseball season with my husband. With that being said, here are a some of the things that I will be registering for broken down by category. Hope this helps anyone else working on their baby registry!

Swaddles/Blankets – I went minimalist on this part because I have no clue what baby will like most or what I will so I pretty much registered for a couple different styles/fabrics and then I can buy more once baby is here and I know what we like best!

Baby Gear – This might look a little different from other people’s lists but because of how often we travel & my husbands baseball career these are items were highly recommended to me from other baseball mommas! We will be leaving for baseball season shortly after baby arrives so we needed products such as a travel crib that we can take with us on the road!

Clothing/Accessories – Another place where I went minimal on my registry, I figured I would register for a couple cute outfits/sleepers and then register for the basic onesies that I’ve heard they live in for the first 0-3 months! At this point I have zero baby things since this is my first so I’d rather have people buy me the necessities like strollers, car seat, etc since those are the things I need the most and I can pick out clothes/outfits as she grows!

Feeding – I ended up registering for two different bottle types not knowing what baby girl will like best & went with those most recommended to me! Babylist also has a “bottle box” of 4-5 different bottles you can try out but I wanted to have more on hand just in case! I also registered for a high chair that can be broken down easily for storing purposes as well as a booster seat that can sit on a counter for travel as well! One of the most highly recommended items that was suggested to me was the Babybrezza Formula dispenser machine! So many moms said this was such a game changer when it came to making bottles & late night feeds when using formula.

Bath Time – Stuck to the basics here cause I figured I could always purchase more toys and such down the road! One of my sister in laws recommended getting a blooming bath for the early newborn days and then the angelcare bath for when she gets a little bigger so I immediately added those two to my list cause after three kids herself, she knows best! After some research I decided to register for Tubby Todd bath & body care after seeing so many great reviews online. I’m excited to try out the line since I am such a skincare/beauty care person myself!

Diapering – I ended up registering for one of the diaper boxes from babylist so that I could try a few options before deciding which one I like best! After lots of research I’ve heard that coterie wipes are a mom fav so going to get those as well. I went back and forth on which diaper bag I wanted and decided to get the Mina Baie Stevie diaper backpack. I liked this option because it’s roomy (great for a first time mom), a good price point, backpack with a luggage sleeve (must have for my travels with baby during baseball season) & it’s actually CUTE.

Nursery & Decor – I don’t have a ton in this section because we are purchasing a majority of the items for her nursery but added some smaller items like crib sheets, diaper caddys, humidifier, etc! I ended up going forward with the Miku Baby Monitor after reading LOTS of baby monitor reivews. Nanit Pro is honestly one of the most popular wifi based baby monitors but I didn’t like that you had to put a breathing accessory/special swaddle on baby at night to monitor breathing. Miku detects breathing without having to wear a sleep accessory but it is $100 more. You also have to pay for the sleep stats after a year with Nanit so it just didn’t make sense and the cost pretty much evens out with the Miku and liking the features better. I’ll report back on this to see how I end up liking it!
